Thrilled, as a (2 months ago) non-runner, to have finished this! - though a bit deflated to see that I covered only 3.77K.
I know I'm in good company there, but was thinking what comes next and how to achieve it. I don't see myself as a 10K runner but would like to reach 5K and would like to be able to do it a bit faster (within half an hour, eventually). Is there advice out there as to how to achieve this?

Congratulations 🥳😍🏃🏻♀️🏅you can run for 30 mins. What an achievement!!
There is a pinned post with consolidation running on it and there is a bridge to 10k or 60minutes of running. Don’t worry about your speed for now. You can run for 30 minutes, the distance may come later but if not, enjoy running rather than stressing about distance.
Yay congratulations! I covered about the same distance in 30 mins. I consolidated for a few weeks then started the Magic Plan - the version to increase time running. So that got me to 5k and I'm gradually getting faster. You could also try the C25k+ podcasts - one of them is interval training that is good for increasing speed. Keep running!
That’s brilliant!! 🎉🎉🏃🏼♀️💪🏻🎊🥳👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎓hardly anyone does 5K in 30 mins so don’t feel disappointed feel proud that you can run 30 mins!! I graduated 2 weeks ago and have only just hit 5K on my consolidation runs -and that was in 40 mins. Don’t worry about speed only time. You will get there with the 5K as you build your stamina
Congratulations to you Palestrina (I like your username Palestrina was a Italian who lived in the 16th Century)
on completing run 3 of week 9 and graduating from C25K, now go and celebrate your wonderful achievement 🏃🏾 👍 🎓
PS your username is named after the 16th Century Italian composer of Sacred Music, to give him his full name of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina who was named after the village in Italy where he lived
Thank you! I'm not very good at usernames and all variations on my own name had been taken, so I chose Palestrina because I sing (and direct) a lot of his music and he is one of my favourite composers. I'm hoping it won't be too long before such musical activities can re-start
I have several CD's of Renaissance music by among others, Palestrina, William Byrd and Thomas Tallis, the very first concert my sister took me was to a concert with music by Thomas Tallis when his brilliant 40 part motet Spem in Alium was sung by a choir from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, lovely 🎶 music but not really suitable for running 🏃🏾.
