We all have that one song / tune that gives us the boost we need when it comes on and we’re flagging a bit....as a young boy of just 54 years of age for me it’s the theme tune to The Avengers movie.......ok stop laughing I’m under no illusions that I’m Chris Hemsworth 😂 I’d be interested to know, which one does the job for you.

P.s I do actually have the same bone structure as Chris Hemsworth.....an eye on each side and a nose in the middle 😂

I’ve just downloaded The Rocky Story, all the best tracks from The Rocky movies, ideal for running......yo Adrienne ! 🥊

Haha, love anything MCU related, I have that very theme as my phone ringer 😂 I listen to such a wide range of genres generally, but when running it has to be upbeat, so I tend to lean towards dance music 😊

Cool phone ringer....answer it and say excuse me its Tony.......Tony Stark 😂

Mr Brightside every time. Generally I like a bit of upbeat stuff to keep me going, anything from good old fashioned stuff like sister Sledge to Chase and Status and everything in between

Can’t beat the classics 👍

Queen Don’t Stop Me Now is always a good one for me!

Nice one, can’t beat a bit of Queen .....Another one bites the dust for when you finish your run 🏃‍♂️

I love, another one bits the dust, I find it so inspirational.

Yeah....great beat too, for right at the end, to give you that final boost 👍

Thunderstruck! AC/DC!

I have three:

POWER - Kayne West

Chelsea Dagger - The Fratellis

Man Down - Rhianna

(very mixed when it comes to genres but they are the ones that give me the "LETS GOO!" attitude 😂)

A mixed bag, Chelsea Dagger blasting out for the home strait 👍

Hi Couch phoenix1 - my inspiring tune is ‘rocket man’ by Elton John - especially after watching the film!!!

Great choice, good steady beat gradually building and the words are perfect 👍

I have a heavy rock workout album - it’s a bit too fast for my pace but I can still ‘sing’ the lyrics in my head (I don’t have the great to sing out loud) and it takes my mind off the running - nothing like a bit of AC/DC to get me moving 👍

Couchphoenix profile image
CouchphoenixGraduate in reply toJmbe-6

Just like Cyclone51, that’s what he’s in to, something with a bit of umph in it to get you moving 👍

For me it’s:

Roar- Katy Perry

High hopes- panic! at the disco

Blinding lights- the weekend

Body rockers- I like the way you move! But I’m sure there are others too 🎧 🎵 🏃🏽‍♀️👍

Couchphoenix profile image
CouchphoenixGraduate in reply toTinytears60

I like that Body Rockers one, there’s been some really good suggestions, we need something to give us that extra push don’t we 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️

Tinytears60 profile image
Tinytears60Graduate in reply toCouchphoenix

Yeah.. I play the long version... try to up my pace a bit when that comes on... 🏃🏽‍♀️

I also step back in time and play some from the 80’s 🙈 Where has the time gone! 🤷‍♀️

The E.N.D. (energy never dies) Black Eyed Peas. Never fails😄

Couchphoenix profile image

Had to look that one up on YouTube, it’s got a good beat to it, I can see why you chose it TT60 👍

MacFadden & Whitehead ~ ‘Ain’t no stopping us now’ long version for the last 10 mins 😀. Also like ‘Brimful of Asha’ by Cornershop and ‘Love Shack’ by B52s. I have a right old retro running list!

One Way or Another by Blondie - used to always come on at the bottom of a certain hill to spur me on. One day I was running with my husband (without my AfterShockz) so I sang it to him all the way up the hill to help us both - I enjoyed it more than him!

Couchphoenix profile image
CouchphoenixGraduate in reply toRunUsagi

Singing whilst running up a hill ! 😮 that’s another one I’m definitely going to add to my playlist 👍

I really wasn't running very fast and it was quite a good distraction.

I love Metallica I know it’s weird but takes me back to my youth. I also love the avengers nothing wrong in that ha 😁

Couchphoenix profile image
CouchphoenixGraduate in reply toLadyCDJ

Metallica is great, you need something with some power to it, a good solid beat and some umph. I listen to WWE Anthology, which is an album of the entry music used for WWE wrestlers when they enter the ring, not a wrestling fan myself, but the music is designed to stir up the enthusiasm of the fans and that makes it perfect for running 🏃‍♂️

I’m going to give that a go thanks
