So I attempted this run last week and got a stitch at 26 minutes that forced me to stop, I know I panicked again and lost my breathing. Attempted to restart but couldn’t so ended it there. I was gutted I had got so close but pleased with my pace on strava. Chalked it up to experience, gave myself three rest days then went for it again last night. Same route but with a more relaxing playlist and a determination to go slow. So, did it and felt great, kept slowing it back down when I felt like I was losing control and ended up feeling like I could have gone on further (wish I had). Expected slow pace on strava but wanted the time not the speed, so pleasantly surprised to see my fastest time (7.06/km), a sub 11 minute mile and fastest km. how is that possible?? Also covered 4.27km which I was happy with. Not ashamed to say I had a few tears as I was so proud of myself.

Here’s to the last two runs.

Hooray well done! No shame in tears - sounds like that run deserved a bit of emotion 😊. I did the same run this morning and am over the moon to have made it to 30 minutes!

Thank you and well done. I just can’t believe I am able to do it when I could barely breath in week 1.
