Week 2 Run 1

We had the family bike ride yesterday, 6.3 miles over a mix of road, gravel paths, fields, etc. I'm lucky I've managed to avoid any saddle issues, unlike Mrs LeeU.

I woke this morning, I really wanted to stay in bed a little longer, so I did, a whole 9 minutes.

Headed downstairs, put the running kit on and jumped on the treadmill, originally I was going to ride down to the local Parkrun course but I realised I didn't have the time today.

I'm going slightly quicker than on last years run through, my average for the run is exactly the same as last year's W2R1 and my highest heart rate is about 9-10 bpm less.

I'll keep up the pace as long as I can and then drop back to my usual slow pace.

Week 2 run 1 now done, run 2 on Wednesday and I may venture out for a solo ride tomorrow morning.

Happy running everyone.

Great stuff! Cycling is a great complement to running.

Yeah, I'm figuring that out, I get a lovely discount from Garmin so I've already bought the speed and cadence sensors that are providing some lovely feedback to my ForeRunner.

I did another 7.2 miles this morning, tomorrow is run day, Thursday may be another ride day.
