I have done the same route all the way through, I’m wondering if I should change my route to mix it up?
The route I am thinking is probably less challenging, certainly less hills in it. I’m worried if I do that I won’t be pushing myself as hard as I was with my original route.
Should I keep the same route until the 9 weeks is up, or should I mix it up just now?
Do others change their route?

I am sticking to exactly the same circular route as I find it easy to measure my progress and I am getting round it more quickly now, just done week 7 run 1. However, now that I am on 25 minute runs, I am thinking of maybe trying somewhere new but similar terrain to what I am used to (half tarmac, half trail).
Yes. Similar here. Until now I felt I needed to keep everything the same: route, direction, music. That allowed me to not panic when the next step in speed or length came along, and I could focus only on running. I am sure that will change at some point but I’m still there.(W7 R1)
That’s kinda what I’m thinking, it’s easier to measure my progress on the same route, I’m not sure if change will be a good thing haha. Might change it for the next run, and if it doesn’t pan out for me I’ll switch back to the original route.
C25k is not about pushing hard, or we would be recommending that you run flat out........it is about building stamina and solid aerobic base by running/jogging at a pace at which you can speak clear, ungasping sentences as you run. If you can do that up hills then that will help strengthen your legs, but there is no problem with running on the flat.
I mostly run the same route, with slight variances just now am running longer distances, as, like the others have said, it helps me see what progress I am making. However, once I have hopefully completed this, I will definitely start being a bit more adventurous.
I changed my route at W7 (ish, I think) and I enjoy the new route much more as it's more picturesque. Just try it one day. If you don't like it, you can go back to the old one. I tend to do the original one once a week, so I can measure how far I've gone (better GPS signal). Now I'm on week 9, though, I'm running out of route so I have to change it anyway!
