I ran my first 5K this morning. It was a virtual 5K that I signed up for last month. My time was 45:12, I really wanted to break the 45 minute mark, but I was glad I did it. I did walk for short periods, but super proud. My son and wife did it with me. After we finished we went Kayaking right after. It was a great morning!

Well done. Don’t worry about the time. What’s important is that you achieved what you set out to do. Ive been running for 14 months now and I rarely go faster than 8min 30sec per km. I wish I could go faster but I’d rather go further. Keep it up.

Thanks! My main goal is to run the whole 5K, and eventually see where my natural pace falls.

Well done. I'm gradually shaving off the minutes, slowly but surely. Down to 37 now. Just love running so not too bothered by the time. X

Thanks! Well done on your shaving off time! I am just going to spend the next few weeks just building up stamina, just run for thirty minutes each session regardless of time. Then after I will try another 5 k to see where I am at.
