Week 6 Run 1 👍

When I go out for a jog at 9pm in Scotland I do not expect it to be 22°C! 🤪 I couldn't have done it if the sun was still out.

As everyone on here says W6R1 is actually quite challenging despite having run for 20 mins straight in the previous run. I def went out a bit fast for the first 5 mins. I'm looking forward to getting past run 2 to say goodbye to the walking intervals. Week 3&4 me wouldn't believe that's how I'd be feeling in the space of only couple of weeks!

I'm still struggling to find a pace that matches both my legs and lungs. I'm sure I'll get there in the end.

I'm literally just in from w5r3. So so warm still out there, shock to the system 😂

I agree with the needing to match my legs to my lungs. Breathing seemed better tonight but my legs were so heavy when usually my legs are fine and breathing is more difficult. Just need to keep going and same as you I'm sure I'll figure it out 😂

Well done for getting so far 🏃‍♀️

Yeah... I don’t expect 22 in the middle of a summer’s day in Scotland 🤣. Well done waiting that sun out... the “feels like” temperature is the one I tend to go off.

It’s certainly a tougher run (mentally) than it appears at first glance and it catches many out... not you though... the run was challenging, but you now love a challenge and stood victorious at that finish line. Great job!

You’ll find that happy pace... relax before you run, start slow and ease up to where you’re comfortable. Next run is tricky too, but most people expect that after this one! Have fun with it and when you finish, tell those intervals “thanks” you’ll meet them again one day!

That's how I felt about the weather when I went out yesterday morning (also in scotland). It's the first run I've done without a hoodie or windbreaker on and I was actually warm from the start. So unusual 😅

We'll done on your runs. I'm only in week 3.

Isn't the weather fantastic 😀. Well done and I live your comment about boy being able to wait until you dint get to walk. I'm terrified of that and it is here! W7R1 tomorrow morning and hoping Perthshire had some Haar to start the day 😂
