Week 7

Very proud to say that I’ll be going on to week 7 run 3 tomorrow! Never thought I’d get this far after having to do week one twice because of how unfit I was! Just getting worried that I’m not going far enough is 25 minutes. My average is about 3.5km so I don’t see how I could do 5km in 30 minutes but I’ll keep persevering!

Well done, such amazing progress!! Try not to worry about how far you’re going. I was really focused on my speed on week 7 and I almost injured myself, determined to be able to get to the 5k in week 9 - it’s just not worth it. So now I go slow and steady like a snail and focus on the time, not how far I’ve gone. My next run will be W9R1 and I’ll be nowhere near the 5k, I think a lot of people don’t do it in the 30 minutes. The main thing is that you’re doing so so well and running for 25 minutes is amazing

Hey I would just take the kudos they you are doing this programme. I think the 5k is aspirational and not many folk get anywhere near that by week 9. I’m just going to be so impressed if I can move for 30mjns in a snail jog. So don’t worry. I also repeated weeks one and two !! I was so unfit.

Well done! Take it one week at a time and enjoy how you are getting fitter and stronger every run !!

Well done you! Amazing achievement this far and I would just forget about distances. Looking at the more experienced runners posting, including those who have completed the programme, I think just concentrating on each run and building fitness and stamina is the way to go. Speed and distance come later👍Well done xx
