W5R3 is my next run on Sunday...I've not set foot outside the front door for the past 50+ days (apart from NHS clapping on Thursdays) and just been 'running' around the garden. I'm just hoping that I can jog around the garden for 20mins without going dizzy on Sunday...

W5R3
Maybe change direction every few laps?! Loving the trail round that lawn! Enjoy Sunday’s run.
Congratulations on completing all your runs up to run 2 of week 5 around your garden, I am wondering why you can't get further than your garden to run the 20 minutes of W5R3, you won't get dizzy if you don't run fast, take run 3 slowly especially if you run it in your garden, a man recently ran a marathon around a garden which looks about the same size as yours, that 20 minute run is approximately 2-3K depending how fast you run, but don't go fast, good luck. 😊 🏃🏾
I run around my garden too, mostly. But I criss-cross and do all sorts of patterns. Looking at your track does make me feel a bit dizzy 😆
Good luck. Take your time, nice and easy and you'll enjoy it. Favourite run of them all.
I see the challenge here.... some good playlist, podcast or audiobook should help!
Well done for getting to week 5 in such a limited space! Fab result!!
I am clapping you... Huge well done and maybe try diagonals.. running backwards even... on the spot for a short while too...let us know how you go on! x
This also reminds me of the guy who ran a marathon in his garden, AlMorr mentioned him: bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-englan....
The idea of a podcast/ playlist/ audiobook sounds great, this should bring some distraction. This is a special run and you will feel so proud afterwards; enjoy every minute!
Well done.
Is there no way that you can go out early morning, when you will meet very few people?
I jog round the garden, well around the house to be exact. I started it when we could only go out to exercise once a day, so that I could still take the dogs out but I really like it and haven't stopped, now that I could. I did my W5R3 on Thursday with no dizziness to report 😀
Glad I am not the only one, I did my very first run in the house, then my garden, then up and down the lane, then along the front but we live with no neighbours and finally last week started doing actual going somewhere runs.
May be you could go out early in the morning for one run? Just to change things up or add extra length to your run and opne your door and run through parts of the house as well as the garden?
Good luck x
