W5R3 wow!

Soooo was dreading the 20 minute run and when the lovely Sarah M said you have been running for 5 minutes I thought SERIOUSLY !! However I kept going and amazingly it got easier as I settled into a rhythm. I even ran an extra few minutes as I was too proud to stop running just as I passed a pub garden on the river full of people enjoying the sun (going back to join them shortly!) Ok so I am 64 with a chronic lung condition if this programme can do this for me it can work for anyone. Keep going guys out there. Also got a high five from a jogger as she passed going the other way. Makes you feel part of a community. Brilliant!

Wow! What an inspiration you are! I’m week 4 R1 and reading your experience gives me confidence I’ll be able to do it when I get to your stage. Good luck with the rest of the program! 😀

That is the key. My running pace is not much different from fast walking. Works for me!

I have this run coming up on Thursday. Asthmatic but amazingly didn't need my inhaler after today's W5R2!! So lungs must be improving 😃 Thank you for such an inspirational post, I will think of this if I start flagging on Thursday! We'll done you 😀👏🍾😀

Us old wheezers have to stick together! Determined not to be a victim to my lungs. Let me know how you get on. Slow and steady 🙂

Thank you, yes I will definitely be taking it slowly! My husband sometimes walks with me on jogs and keeps up with me 🤣
