I did it! Smashed it, in fact! I just can't believe it really, but as MJ says, "Trust the plan!"
I was a little worried beforehand as I've not been well. Ran on Sunday morning but had developed a cold by the evening (I blame the children). So I missed my Wednesday run. Slept a ton on Wednesday as I'm a part-timer so that's when my weekend starts 😉. Felt much better for it. So off I went tonight!
I'm not celebrating too soon though as I've read on here some comments about week 6 taking you by surprise. I know I'm still a novice. But I'm so proud of what I've managed to achieve. Thanks for the plan c25k, and you guys here for the support. X

Great job. You’re right, it’ll be the kids fault 😂
Ok... week 6 starts with intervals that have caught a lot of people out. They’re not as bad as their reputation though... slow and steady is really important, and the walks need to be nice and brisk... I think the reason that they catch people out is that I’ve just run 20 minutes straight, 8 is easy so I can give it some beans... so in this case a little trepidation is a good thing. You can do it though.
Well done to you!! I've just got in from completing the same run. I was also apprehensive before heading out there but I could have carried on running and was taken by surprise when Laura said to start the cool down walk! I feel on top of the world!
Well done too! Isn't it a fab feeling? It's always takes me a while to calm down from the exhilaration I feel after completing a run. It's bloody marvellous! Bring on week 6, hey?!
Totally fab. I really feel that I reached a landmark in the programme today. A 5k suddenly feels real and possible after todays run. Week 6... come on!
Me too, I’m actually looking forward to doing runs with no walk breaks in, today was okay but I didn’t really want to stop and walk. Hope your cold is well and truly over xx
