Good Morning all hope we are all well. Evenually completed week 8 this morning. Had a couple of hiccups last week either starting to fast and waring myself out too quickly or my apps all deciding to shut down half way through a run. So made sure I didnt go too quick at first and built myself up to pick up the pace. Did 28 mins without a problem think i was at about 4k at this stage so i carried on running to complete 5k in just over 35 mins and my quickest split time of 7.08 so feeling good and im ready for week 9.

Great going.

Always good to start slow and kick it up at the end if you can.

Thats a great time for 5k too

Wow well done!! I did week 8 run 3 this morning and can’t say I found it easy at the end. When Laura said ‘keep walking briskly’ I told her ‘ no chance’😂 My time averaged 6.41/. 4.2k overall plus I am a middle aged woman (!) so to finish 5k I will deffo need to slow down. A lot!!!! I did slow down around week 7 as I had a sore knee - but it’s hard to go slow isn’t it!!

I do have a little companion with me to spur me on- I run the whole thing off road with my dog off the lead. She loves it much more than me😂

Great running! Are you measuring your distance and times over the whole workout including the walk either end or just the running in the middle?

I used Strava when I started so have kept that for the door to door workout, but have started using Map My Walk for just the running bit so that I can see how that bit’s going and challenge myself each time I run 😁

I’m 51 and not a sporty person at all but this has really hooked me in! 😂

I do my warm up walk at home and then i start my strava as soon as start to run so I know exactly what ive ran and know my pace etc.

Well done on getting the running bug. Im the same as you not very sporty but really enjoying it as well!
