Hi all. I had my first attempt at week 6 run 3 today. I managed to run all the way to and up 2/3 of the beast hill. I walked the last bit then kept running for another 12 minutes. I was praying that when she next spoke I would only have 60 seconds left. Sadly she said I have another 5 minutes. I kept going for another 2 minutes and 42 seconds. Then remembered that I was going to hit another smaller, but steep hill and I just couldnt do it.
I am gutted. I woke up aching and felt dehydrated so the fact that I even made it that far before breakfast is some sort of a miracle.
My husband and I are going to get in some good walks this weekend. So more muscle training for the hills.
What do you guys advise I do? Should I repeat the whole week or should I just repeat the 25 minute run?

Hi Tanya, just slow down, you’re going like a gazelle up that climb, and you are making huge progress. It’s still early days and looking after yourself, including pacing yourself and not expecting so much, is going to be really important in the longer term. Do it again if you want but take it easy or find a flatter route. Take care 🤗
Yup, compared to most beginner runners it sure is, with that gradient climb added in, ....if you really want to compare yourself to those pro athletes training on those hills and olympiads maybe you should speed up a bit 😘🤸♀️
Just repeat the 25. But this time put some fuel in the tank. You can do it. I admire your bravery running hills. I am not as bold. Most of my running is on the flat. Unless I really want to throw in hill training.
If I don't run up hills there is no point in running as I am just surrounded by them. There are no real flats just different gradients of up and down to contend with. To be fair athletes purposefully move here to train so talk about a way to start 😂😶
Just repeat the 25min run and as others have said avoid the hill! I used to have one towards the end of my route.....soon changed that, don’t be down hearted you’re doing brilliantly! 👍
