I've just finished my second round of week 6. Periodically this happens to me. Usually just during the warm down walk but sometimes towards the end of my run. I was wondering if perhaps it's a bit of an overstretch because it always happens on my weaker side. So I've been doing lots of strength training. I've also found I run better when I've had an absolute s*** load of water the day before. Sorry to not be of more help but I'm with you on this you're not alone. X
How are your shoes? If they're too tight (your feet get bigger during a run) you'll get pins and needles. Not sure about it going up the whole leg though.
You can google different ways to run your laces in your shoes to help them stay on but not have to be laced too tightly. I prefer having my laces relatively loose (I'm bad that I don't undo them when taking off/putting them on, that's how loose I like them).
Sometimes I get similar sensation in my fingers/arms .... not full on pins/needles but just feel the need to wiggle/shake them! I just presume it's a circulation thing because my body is adjusting to running.
If it happens every time maybe just ring GP for advice? Take care
I agree with the shoes/laces too tight issue... now when i lace my trainers i arched my feet inside while i lace to make sure i do not over tighten.
