Week 5 run 2

Done and dusted! Although I had to stop briefly for a man and his dog I still managed the two 8 minute runs with only a little bit of calf pain. I feel like as the distance gets further I end up running slightly slower each time. I’m not sure if this is supposed to be happening, but I’m making it to the end so I guess it works. Now bring on W5R3!

Congratulations on getting to week 5, run 2, good luck for run 3 of week 5, take that run slow and steady 🏃🏾 👍, after you complete it you will be very proud of yourself 😊 🏃🏾

Me too, I actually felt like "does this actually count" because I was going SO slowly! I also found that if I let my mind wander to other random things it's easier, if I thought 'wow I'm only half way through an 8 minute run' it felt a lot harder! Well done to us 💪

Hi, I did wk 5 run 2 this morning, feeling a bit sluggish, and it was the slowest one I've done! However, I was pleased I managed to achieve the two 8 minute runs. Having a two day rest over the weekend and aiming for wk 5 run 3 on Monday. Can't wait!

Congrats! It wasn’t as bad as I thought I don’t know if it was the same for you? Although my calf’s definitely ached!

No, it went better than I thought, but I knew I'd done it by the time I got home, ha ha, can feel myself stiffening up a bit, will have to keep doing a few stretches over the weekend to prepare for Monday, the big day!

Well done you! Felt very similar re pace. But it’s slow and steady that builds stamina, so I’m told. W5R3 for me tomorrow and going to take it slow as can 🐌🐌🐌.
