Week 1, second run

Hey all, how are you all keeping?

Really didn’t want to get out for my second run yesterday, but I think part of me knew how good it felt after the first time, so that spurred me on as well as knowing my mental health would benefit.

I started and felt uncomfortable for the first couple of runs, but kept slow and at my comfortable pace and kept the brisk walking up.

Again it felt great at the end knowing I’d pushed through, especially as it was cold and it started getting rainy.

What I enjoyed this time is that I drove to a new location, this time was a local park which only had a couple of other people but I liked the element of going round a track which helped me notice where I ran further in the time as I got further down the line time wise.

Thanks ever so much to everyone who is being supportive, it really makes the world of difference and we can all do this!

Take care all x

well done! Pushing yourself up, off the sofa and out the door is always the hardest part (to this day I won't sit down after work until after I've run or I know how much harder it will be!)

Keep it up, you're doing great 👍🏻😁

Thanks Jojo! That’s a really good tip actually. I might start incorporating my run as my travel to work once lockdown is over! Best wishes to you x
