Fail. Legs just couldn’t run.... my legs had no energy...I just couldn’t do it?... maybe such a bad nights sleep didn’t help but I’m a crap sleeper anyway-the joys of being 55... I did power walk... but each tube I tried to run I just couldn’t get going ....so I’m going to repeat today’s run tomorrow.... I won’t be beaten but today was a fail....

We don't us the 'F' word over here. The only fail is if you don't leave the house. You got out there, power walked when you couldn't run, and finished. Remind yourself how far you have come in the last few weeks and then just draw a line under today. I'm sure you'll smash it tomorrow x
Oooof, we have all been there. Just some days, for whatever reason, its just not possible, or its just harder, or there are a million obstacles in the way. But you did not fail. You continued on walking, even though you could not run. Take a breath, take a rest day or two, and try again and repeat the run. x
Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.
I would take a rest day and prepare as well as you can, addressing the above as well as possible and if they are not optimal then just lower expectation and demand and go slower.
