Back from the first run of week 5....
One foot in front of the other, and I am so pleased with myself to have got this far, I hear alot about the 3rd run, it's just ahead. Same mental battle. I can and will do this

Great job... and yes, you will do it!
Well done on getting past the first run on week 5. I’ve done the second- and found it easier than the first. Less stopping and starting maybe. If you’re concerned about the third run, that’s exactly what my first post was about a few days ago. A few people have replied with really good advice and motivation so if you want to have a look feel free!
You are right, you CAN do it! This programme is amazing.
Well done. W5R3 is just another run........actually the shortest workout since W3.

Well done Rinky1! It really is a mental battle and the C25K plan is bang on. Good luck with W5R2. 😄
Thanks JaxO, how are you getting on?
Getting on alright thanks. The only thing I’m struggling with is the first part of a run. But this has been explained to me what’s going on and it’s called Toxic 10.

All to do with lactic acid and oxygen in muscles, so like most others that get this.... just gotta power on through it!! We WILL get there won’t we, if not, no pressure and just try again 😄
Hi, have you tried doing some dynamic stretches before your run? I wasn't doing any prep until after Week 4 run 2 when my knees felt a bit funny the next day. There are links to warm up stretches on the C25K website and I've done these before my last two runs, it does seem to help. They are different to the end of run stretches that are held for a short while.
Hi there. I am at the same stage as you. I did my Week 5 Run 1 this morning and it wasn't as bad as I expected, even though at one stage I had the cold wind in my face! I do run quite slowly . . . Good Luck with the next one!
