Just finished first run day one. Not run for 20 years + and feel like throwing up... please tell me it gets easier 😬
Day 1: Just finished first run day one. Not run... - Couch to 5K
Day 1
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
When you can run for 30 minutes in a few weeks time, the early weeks would seem very easy.
Try slowing to the pace recommended in the guide.
Enjoy your journey.
I felt the same too when I started. Couldn’t run for the train when I was working- used to just wait for the next one. I’m now on week 7, running 25minutes non stop. Just follow the program and that will be you in 7weeks too. Like others have said slow right down, you probably think you can’t go any slower, but believe me you can. Also make sure you drink plenty especially the day before the run. It does make a difference. Good luck and stick with it
