Just home from run 1 of week 6. I found it harder than the 20 minute run I did last Friday ! Feel as though the weekend off did me no good at all. Legs heavy and the time dragged, hope it improves before run 3 !

Take your runs a little slower than you have been recently, drink plenty of water the day before you run and a little before you run, week 6 run 1 is difficult after the high of the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3, by the time you get to run 3 of week 6 which is a non stop 25 minute run you will be feeling much better, slow and steady ๐๐พ ๐
You did say it could catch me out ! Not sure I can go much slower !! I did do the first 5 minutes a bit more quickly but legs just never got into it, no rhythm at all.
Week 6 run 1 catches us all out DW! But it gets better! Keep well hydrated to prevent those heavy legs and youโll be fine! Happy running

I was the same this morning on run 3 of week 6- heavy legs!! It was tough!! I have a very upbeat playlist though which really helps. Try steps โreach for the starsโ- guaranteed to keep you going!!
Literally had the same issue today! It was my first run in the rain and felt very hot and humid but it seemed so much harder than the 20 minute run I did last week. Due to working shifts sometimes I can't space my runs out very well and this often plays a factor so rest days are definitely important and I try and do some other kind of exercise like upper body workouts on those days. The first run has made me sceptical about the rest of the week but just going to take them slow as think I went a little too fast to start today thinking it would be easy after the 20 min run last week! Which it wasn't!
