Week 6 Run 1

I had to laugh... I was running up a slight incline, it was tough work. It was drizzling a lot. Just recently managed to get Spotify and what would come up on my shuffle? Eye Of The Tiger! It was so apt at that precise moment! Ha ha !

I found this run HARD! Not sure whether it was cos of the rain? Slight inclined against the wind? Music shuffle gave me some very peculiar songs... which I had to skip to next track, losing my rhythm.

But proud to say that I didn’t stop, I did everything Jo told me... but wow did I struggle! I went slow and steady.

Dreading the next run on Sunday 😔

I downloaded Eye of the Tiger especially for run 3 week 5! Were the intervals annoying? I am definitely attempting that one tomorrow! Well done for getting it done 💪🏻

They were, after our amazing achievement of week 5, run 3. But I know it’s for a reason, to build up stamina

Eye of the Tiger goes on my playlist too!! Noticed you have disc bulge same as me. Had it for 16 years and learned what I can and can't do. Running can impact on your spine so found it's a trade off between speed and pain and speed suffers every time! So I just take it very easy but I get the job done. Run 3 is no different to run 3 of week 5 except it's 5 minutes longer. Take your time and plod on and you will do it. If you can run for 20 mins you can run for 25 mins. 90% of the runs here on in are in your head. So keep your pace steady and slow and you will overcome. Enjoy the rest of your journey👍😁

Aww well done on your run!😃 I found run 2 a little bit challenging but it was more than doable, run 3 however, was strangely my easiest and most enjoyable run yet! Just keep a steady pace and put a good playlist together and you will smash it!!☺️💪🏻

What’s good is that you found it hard but you still did it! I think some days are just not as good as others for whatever reason. But carry on, you’re doing great

I felt like that on my w6r2 , you can do it. Keep a v steady rhythm. .... and keep telling yourself “you can do it”. I know easy to say, i almost wanted to collapse at the end!!! 😉

Your Spotify is supporting you by shuffling that into your ears! Haha! Magic!

Well done for digging in and completing 👏👏

I think it’s fair to say I struggled with week 6 ... it’s them pesky walk intervals ... but you only have R2 to get through and then you shake them off forever!!!

Read my posts on W6.... I called her a little biatch 😳🤣

You will do them so don’t dread them...

👍🏃🏽‍♀️

Inclined run is way harder. Don't be so mad at yourself. You did great.

Have a nice weekend.
