I downloaded the strava app a a few runs ago, it seems good, I use it to track how far I’m running and at what pace. Looking at it as a way of keeping a record of my runs, seeing my improvements and achievements
There is a free version of Strava to download. It didn't help as such, but post graduation it's a way of tracking your runs and distance, if that's important to you. I would say it's pretty useless while you're still on the programme and could have a negative impact. The programme is about running for a set period of time and tracking distance is irrelevant, because it's about building strength and stamina, not about distance.
Good luck.
I use the free version and it does as it says. Tracks your run and gives you a little info. I run the same route each time and it compares runs and I can see an improvement overall which is confidence boosting. Slightly quicker each run and gentle upward curve of the graph showing this. I works for me. Also ability to link with friends if that your thing.
I use the free version. I find it easy to use and it doesn't bombard you with advertising and emails. You can use the privacy settings to make it as open or private as you like.
The only thing I'd be aware of isn't competing with others, but competing with yourself. When I first downloaded it, I was disappointed if I didn't up my pace every run - which is a sure fire way to get injured! Now I just run to my mood or follow a guided run on the Nike running club app and use strava for reference.
You can always download it, see how you get on and delete it later.
It’s ok but a watch is better.
I have a Fitbit charge 3 will that do
