Strava problems.....Grrr !

Strava decided not to record my run properly today so I have no real idea how I did. So annoying. Only the second time I've tried to use it. Just whinging, ignore me!!! Enjoyed the run anyway.

It's so frustrating when tech goes wrong.

Oddly I've never actually recorded with Strava direct. My Garmin watch records then uploads to Strava separately. And before I got that my phone recorded on the Samsung app and uploaded after to Strava.

Are you iphone or Android?

Hi, I'm android, tbh, its doubly frustrating as I'm not very techy so I like things that are simple! First time I used it went fine but today I don't know what went wrong. Could it be it needs a strong signal?? I run in a forest so maybe that doesn't help. Also it's impossible to find a free download app for music for android so nothing to listen to. Live radio is bit hit and miss too.

Get the bbc radio iplayer. Then download mixes or shows on wifi that you can play back late without using data. Most expire in 28 days so you need to do it fairly frequently.

Which make of phone do you have?

Thats a good idea, I thought it used loads of data?? At least I'll be able to listen to something. Hurrah! I have a Huawei P10. Quite a good phone actually.

Only if you're streaming live data. If you download whilst at home on wifi "to listen later" as they put it you'll use zero.

Hmmm... the only other thing I can think is that something else was maybe running that interrupted Strava. Try closing all apps before next run then start iplayer, pick music/audio and then start Strava.

These glitches normally happen if you don't start your preferred running app (e.g. Strava) as the last thing you do before you set off. Who knows? Tech's a nightmare. Better luck next time tho
