Slightly confused. Strava

I completed a run yesterday and am just wondering, why would my Strava app say I ran 17 minutes when using the C25K app at the same time, Jo Whiley said I’d run for 20 minutes? The auto pause is off on Strava and I started/stopped recording on Strava at the beginning/end of the run (so didn’t include walks).

Not sure on this, I wear a Garmin and always go with my Strava ... I did not have either of those when I did C25K years ago though.. so just went with the app :)

Maybe just a glitch :)

My husband ran alongside me while doing some of the runs and the app times didn’t always coincide with his watch. It’s down to the talking I think. Don’t worry about it, just follow the app.

Jo Whiley is a great coach to have.

Do you think it could be the talking? I thought that would be included in the time on the C25K? Hmmm. I kind of think the accuracy is needed to know my pace for a 5k 😊

At this point you shouldn’t be thinking of pace, but running at an easy conversation speed. Don’t worry about reaching 5k. Despite its name the aim of the programme is to run for 30 minutes and 80% do not reach 5k.

There is plenty of time to think about pace and distance after the consolidation phase.

You are doing great.

Oh yeh I know, but I just want to keep the consistency between apps and see improvements, non improvements etc on this journey
