You will! Just trust the programme. Soon you'll be saying things like 'I only have to run for five minute blocks today!'

Perhaps you should change your name already, because you’re a starter not a non-starter... and each run you start gets you closer to doing it.

It really works, just keep putting on those trainers

You don't have to get to 5k on c25k just do the times..

See the link for essential info on how to do c25k..

I do think a lot of this is about mindset - you can get there, you just need to believe you can. Make this the time that you see something through to the end!

You’ve started and that’s great in itself, you’re not sitting on that couch anymore! I agree with the others, it’s all about mindset, mental strength. You can really do this. I have never exercised a day in my life and am now starting W4 R1 tomorrow. As you progress with each run, you will feel even more amazing than when you finished the last run, knowing you are improving each time. Instead of thinking of the entire programme and wondering if you’ll be able to run non stop for 30 minutes, just think of the present run you’re doing, don’t focus on the end, focus on the here and now and you’ll amaze yourself. Just believe in yourself, you can do this 💪🏻🏃‍♀️

You can do it! Definitely use the podcasts where you can hear Laura speaking (or the app,I believe there’s one that also gives you the coaching but I can’t get that here in the US). It really helps to have her saying “you’re doing really well!” I don’t understand how anyone can just use those apps with no coaching that simply give you beeps to start and stop! I know they play their own music too but I need Laura to stay with me out there!

I wouldn’t call myself lazy, but I definitely am NOT one of those people who enjoy exercise! I’ve never understood anyone who got injured because they “pushed themselves too hard”. Push myself? Ha ha ha! No! I never push myself to do anything physical that’s hard! You see all those articles giving advice on running or other exercise and I see it over and over, the advice to not do too much. “Overuse injuries”. Yeah, not me! I’m not that person.

But having said that, I’m on week 4! I seriously don’t know how I’ve done that, I’ve just kept going. I have slowed way down anytime I get too winded. And on my latest run I had to go 5 minutes without stopping and all of a sudden I realized I actually WAS pushing myself! Not a lot, mostly I go slower to make it easier, rather than trying to power through something that’s too difficult. But this time, yeah, I pushed myself, and I’m pretty damn proud!

So try not to use labels like “lazy”. You’re not lazy, you’re just taking care of yourself and your comfort levels like any sane person would! You’re getting out there now, that’s the important part! You can do this! But you might need to push yourself a bit. ;)
