Firstly illness for 2 weeks then life got in the way so it has been a month since my last run.
I say 'life' got in the way but it was all self inflicted. Firstly a boozy trip to my sister in law in Ireland, and nights out etc. this sudden surge in a social life is due to the fact that today is the big five oh! One of the things that hitting 50 has done was to make me have a bit of a think of what I want out of the next 50 years! (One can live in hope!) one thing I don't want is to go back to being fat and unfit! I'm still overweight, but nowhere near as bad as a year ago. So I'm going to do couch to 10 k, starting on Monday. I'm hoping that a month off will be much easier than starting from scratch, and if it is, I'm still going to do the full thing, but just push that much harder in the first few weeks.
Wish me luck. I start Monday
