Week 7 run 1 done! Miracles do happen!

When I (57, not run since school) started C25K I could never have imagined running for 25 mins nonstop but now I’ve done it (twice with week 6 run 3) and feeling so pleased and relieved. What’s really helped is getting my breathing under control (I was gasping for most of weeks 1 - 5) and in turn this has improved my mental approach (no longer telling myself I hate running every step of the way!). For the first time I’m not dreading the steps up in weeks 8 and 9. I’ll never be the fastest runner but hey what the heck, I’ll give the tortoise a good run for his money!

Brilliant!! Well done!! You’re amazing!

It’s easier to get into a rhythm as the weeks progress isn’t it?

Am doing week 7 run 2 tomorrow, and like you, weeks 8 and 9 hold no dread (yet 7 weeks ago they seemed like an impossible task)
