Ok, I ran for 26.5 minutes, but as I was at 4.7k after 25mins, I thought I may as well carry on and go for the 5k. Very pleased with my time of 26.34 for my first ever 5k.
My plan is to consolidate the runs for the remaining 3 weeks and try and shave some time off if possible. I aiming to get as close to a 25min 5k as possible by the end of week 9.
I'm absolutely buzzing!

Your enthusiasm and determination are admirable but you would be better off sticking to the plan and gently progressing the duration and forgetting about speed.
The very obvious sign of a rookie runner is to go flat out on every run........I know, I was exactly the same.
The recommended way to increase pace is to spend 70-80% of your time at an easy conversational pace at which you can hold a conversation, to build stamina, strength and injury resistance and only push hard for the remainder. This is how elite athletes train.
