Injury?

Hi. I'm 66 and have just completed week 1 which I have done twice. I have found it very hard but enjoyable. My leg muscles ache alot. This morning I've noticed a bruise on the inside of my left thigh. I'm due to start run 1 of week 2 tomorrow. Advice please.

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Some aches are quite normal, but stretching after every run and strengthening exercises will help.

As for your bruise, it is unlikely that it was directly caused by the running. If you are in pain, then rest up a few days.
