Good evening everyone!
Feeling tired but very proud of myself tonight.
I had to run when it was still warm this afternoon so made sure I was well hydrated and headed out thinking I would take it extra slow and just see how it went.
I was looking forward to a bit of motivation from Laura but the app kept dropping out so I started off quietly.
I really struggled for the first 10 mins. My route is quite steep in places but running from my front door is the most convenient so just trying to get on with it for now.
About 20 mins in I started aching in my right shoulder and realised I was quite tense so probably looked a right sight trying to loosen it up by doing some windmills π.
Although it did take my mind off my breathing and when I got to the 25 min point I didnβt feel too daunted by the hill I have been walking up to cool down.
Just give it a go!! I kept telling myself.
Well I only went and did it!
Iβm not going to lie it was hard and very hot but wow it felt sooooo good!
I am only doing just over 2 miles so I have a long way to go to get to the 5k but I am so pleased with my progress, especially the mental aspect. It is doing me the world of good. So I am trying not to think about distance/speed but just to continuously run for the 30 mins.
