Good evening everyone!

Feeling tired but very proud of myself tonight.

I had to run when it was still warm this afternoon so made sure I was well hydrated and headed out thinking I would take it extra slow and just see how it went.

I was looking forward to a bit of motivation from Laura but the app kept dropping out so I started off quietly.

I really struggled for the first 10 mins. My route is quite steep in places but running from my front door is the most convenient so just trying to get on with it for now.

About 20 mins in I started aching in my right shoulder and realised I was quite tense so probably looked a right sight trying to loosen it up by doing some windmills πŸ™„.

Although it did take my mind off my breathing and when I got to the 25 min point I didn’t feel too daunted by the hill I have been walking up to cool down.

Just give it a go!! I kept telling myself.

Well I only went and did it!

I’m not going to lie it was hard and very hot but wow it felt sooooo good!

I am only doing just over 2 miles so I have a long way to go to get to the 5k but I am so pleased with my progress, especially the mental aspect. It is doing me the world of good. So I am trying not to think about distance/speed but just to continuously run for the 30 mins.

Here’s to repeating it again twice more 🀞🏻🀞🏻🀞🏻

I did the same run yesterday. Managed to get through it! Woohoo! Found it so hard, but tbh I have found every run difficult so far! I am going super slow. I'm hoping that once I reach 30 mins and do this for a few weeks I might start to find it easier! I feel better talking to my husband. He is training for an ironman and he runs for 2 hours or more but says the first 10-12 mins is always really hard. He must find 30 mins a doddle though, so eventually I might get there too πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ€ž. Good luck with the rest! Nearly there! πŸ‘

I think it has really helped reading that struggling with the first 10 mins is pretty normal. Even for your hubby!

Now I understand it’s your body warming up, it’s like something has clicked with me. Well for now anyway!

Well done and just keep going. I found W7 and 8 quite challenging but now on consolidation. Running for 30mins was something I never thought would happen. I did 31 mins on 2nd consolidation run as know it needs small incremental increases. Good luck you will graduate in no time πŸ‘πŸ˜ŠπŸŒž

Congratulations for achieving a target .

You should be celebrating for a few days as you move to W9 - this is the best week of all .

Not long to go now and your make the 30 minutes nonstop run , no matter the distance .

That’s your goal after graduation as long as you take it slowly .
