Post birthday run....

I had to work yesterday so it was business as usual, with a few cards chucked in!.

This morning I was up and out at 07.00, it was glorious. Clear blue skies, sunny and with a chilly wind=Perfect 🌞🌞

As I tootled along I was considering the changes that running has made to my life.

I decided to do it before I hit 55, and before it was too late, of course I realise now that its never really too late.

Cut to two years later and a lot of lycra...I am a different person!. Stronger, fitter, I drink a lot less alcohol and a lot more water.

Anyone thinking about doing this, go for it!

You don't have to be fast, or run races. Just go at your own pace. It will change your life.

Have a great day everyone 🀩

Brilliant advice from you Jell6 . πŸ‘πŸ˜€

Anyone who’s faffing about whether or not to start or continue their running journey should absolutely go for it. It’s life changing and life enhancing, especially in the current climate. I think I’d be climbing the walls without my 3+ runs per week. πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Just one thing though - it was your birthday and you didn’t tell us Jell? Excuse me, that’s not on. Here, some belated celebrations for you! πŸŽ‰ πŸŽ‚ 🎈 ⭐️ πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜ πŸ“£β€οΈ 🎊 Hope it was a fantastic one! 😘

Ahh thank you cheeky 😘

Didn't I mention it?. I have had a lot on recently, busy at work, getting back to fitness after the dreaded covid 19.😷

Plus I have reached the age where I am seriously considering counting backwards 🀣🀣

I hope you and your lovely family remain well πŸ˜˜πŸ€—

So glad you’re back to fitness after a stressful time Jell. Isn’t this awful? I bet that run felt amazing. πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜

Judging by your post and using my O Level maths skills, I’m only a year or so behind you, so I know how you feel about birthdays. πŸ˜©πŸ˜… Never mind, running keeps us youthful doesn’t it? πŸ‘

All good here. Got a houseful and it’s lovely (although our grocery bills aren’t!) 😳😳😳

Take lots of care. 😘

Belated Happy Birthday wishes JellπŸŒ·πŸ’

I'm sorry that I missed seeing your post about your having Covid19, and its so good to see you recovered and well again. A scary time no doubt.

I feel that being a runner may well have helped your recovery.

Your birthday will have been a happy one, and I hope there was cake! 🍰 xxx

Ahh thank you Bbr, no there wasn't cake, usually if I have a birthday at work, or someone else is I take a big cake in (Costco, not homemade 🀣) but I am trying to avoid communal food at the moment so I took in some bags of individually wrapped sweets 🍬🍬🍬

Thank you Oldfloss . Nothing to forgive!

I'm not sure what the blossom is, but it looked lovely, and it may even have smelled lovely!.

Apart from the loss of sense of smell I think I am back to normal!!!.

Stay safe and well, and thank you for doing a great job on this very busy forum 😘
