Ha! Did not let the earbud-search panic keep me from continuing into W4! Put on a Guardians of the Galaxy playlist (only on one ear, hence earbud panic), and off I went.
Ankles fine, calves surprisingly good although I can feel a distant shimmer of a pain (which disappears with post-run stretching), back really surprisingly good. I used to not be able to walk more than 20 minutes without getting backache, and now I am managing to run for 16 not even noticing my back!!!
5 min runs were ok even though the hill that left me gasping in week 1 was in the middle of it!
It feels like this program really works!!!
Thanks C25k!!!!

I run in the morning, no drinks beforehand or food. Just brush my teeth, fall out of bed. I don’t take water with me. (But we drink a lot of water and tea throughout the day and evening, so I know I am well hydrated).
I know that if I would eat beforehand I would find these runs extremely hard, and afternoon runs are a whole other (bad) experience.
Breathing: I should say I run these really slow. Music helps me keep a steady slow rhythm. But I know that in week 1 there were moments were I couldn’t breath deep enough to get my breath back. But now this seems fine!
Maybe finding a breathing-rhythm is just another run or two away? 👌👍🏽 You probably got this!
I've been eating a small banana about 30 minutes before my morning runs, the day I skipped it felt like the hardest run so far. This was probably just a bad day but as it doesn't upset my stomach so I've kept eating this before my runs.
This is the second time I've tried C25K and I'm finding it so much easier to breathe this time. I'm only on week 2 but last time I struggled from the start. I think this is the effect of daily yoga for the past few months. Nothing advanced, just beginner friendly YouTube videos, but it's really helped me to be aware of and to control my breathing.
