Good morning everyone!
Today was my first early run.
The only way I can keep running when life returns to what was ‘normal’ is if I run at different times of the day and fit it around family life and work.
So I took the plunge this morning and had a banana and a couple of glasses of water before setting off. Telling myself I had run 25 mins on the last run so I could do it again 🙏🏻
The first 10 mins as always was tough but kept my mind occupied by avoiding the puddles and slugs.
Once I had got to 15 mins I was settled into a good pace albeit slow and steady. The last 10 mins felt good.
The amount of traffic on the lane I run on was busier today. I have started wearing a hi vis vest and wearing a fitness watch with time alerts rather than earphones the whole time but I really miss a bit of motivation so when I struggle I pop one earbud in on a low volume.
Started doing a few stretches too and this and a warm bath has helped my body recover with a days rest in between.
Feeling good and ready for the day now.... I will probably be asleep by lunchtime!!
