Wasn't sure I would manage a run as scheduled today. After the high of completing W5R1 on Monday, yesterday I woke up with all kinds of niggles. But with a day of rest I felt much better today.
Hubby back at work, so had to take the dog with me for today's run (which I have managed to avoid since week 3). Normally he is quite good while I run - keeping pace just a little in front and alerting me to anyone ahead on the path. But today he decided to pick up the largest stick he could find and run along just behind jabbing me with it. Lost 15 seconds off the first run wrestling it from him! By the time I got to my second run the sun had come out and EVERYONE decided to come to the park and I had to leap out of the way of all of them ending up with VERY soggy feet! Also had to change direction as all other joggers appeared to be running anticlockwise round the park and I was the only person running clockwise (is this a thing?)
But I did it! Despite all the obstacles. Much preferring the longer runs to lots of little runs (which I never thought would happen) So feel hopeful for Run 3 on Friday.
