Week 5 run 3 in the bag

I really think I must be dreaming. I CAN NOT BELIEVE that I have just run for 20minutes! πŸ™ƒπŸ˜²πŸ™‚

To be clear, I do my runs in a gym (which I think is easier than running outside, and I confess that it's a jog rather than a run), but nevertheless am getting there and looking forward to week 6 which feels doable. Time to ramp up the speed a bit next week.

The only sad thing is that I got my mobile snatched this week and had not recently backed it up so when I downloaded the app again all my runs were lost. Anyone know of any way to get the data back? If not, I may resort to "rerunning" the runs on the app to fill in weeks 1-5. Is that even sadder? Am so proud of my achievement I want it recorded for prosperity!

Well done.

Don't try ramping up the speed next week, in fact just keep it slow and steady. It is tougher than it looks.

Sorry to here about losing the phone. You can replace the runs in the app by fast forwarding through rather than run it in real time. Of course the dates won't be as the original ones.

Well done for bashing week 5, nothing wrong running inside (or going slowly). I wouldn't push the speed just yet, week 6 is notorious for catching people out.

Good luck

Ok. Thanks for both pieces of info. Think gritted teeth as well as motivational music will be needed!

Fast forwarded and all caught up! Thanks. Just a psychological reward but it helps πŸ™‚

I didn't use the app until week 3, so I'm missing a "full set" too. My plan is to try to increase my pace in short bursts so weeks 1 and 2 will do for that. Not before graduation though.

That's fabulous!

Sorry about your phone. :( I can't help with the techy side, but I think I'd feel the same as it feels good to look back at the process.

Have fast forwarded on the runs as sparkyjohn suggested and they are all nicely filled in now!

Week 6 is a strange one after running 20 minutes continuously it should be easy but I found it a challenge particularly run 2, I found the walk Inbetween the two ten minutes runs made it harder than running 20 constantly ?!

It really does, and even more so as I'm getting an improvement with my diabetes too

Another bonus.

Running outside is ok. I find looking around the countryside interesting and it is a good distraction when the runs get tougher

I find running on a treadmill harder - you can’t naturally slow down as you get tired! Be proud of your achievements ... inside or outside it is all down to hard work and determination. Keeeep running!
