W1 R2 completed πŸ™Œ

Didn't enjoy this run quite as much, purely because my music on Spotify all went weird.

Islands in the stream by dolly parton just isn't good to run to πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

However, my daughter has sorted it and I now have a fab playlist for my next run.

On the plus side, it seemed to go much faster which is a positive!

Thank you! I'm currently running on grass round a field and pondering if I'd be better on the street? The ground is a bit uneven and I'm concerned about my ankles but will the street be harder on my knees?

Being new to it like you I honestly don’t know but have read on some posts running on grass can be harder, so an even bigger well done πŸ˜€.

I’d say if the ground is uneven you’re right to be concerned about your ankles though. I’m very lucky where we live there are lots of nice trails so they are somewhere in between, harder than grass but softer than pavements. Is there anywhere like that nearby to you maybe?

I'm going to have a good think and ask my hubby 😊

I know what you mean. Leonard Cohen popped up during my run today. I had to use all my willpower to keep going!

Ha ha...oh god, not sure which is worse! I've now made a playlist so hopefully next run will be better.

No agree, the Bryn and Ness version is far superior :)

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Don't get me wrong, it's a great song but not to run to. Prefer listening to The Prodigy when running!

I find running on paths, roads or trails easier, the grass tends to be either to hard and bumpy or too slippery. I initially ran in some very quiet areas because I didn’t want anyone to see me, but once everyone had realised I had started running they were very supportive and I soon got used to running where more people would see me. The hardest part of a run is always putting on your sports bra and trainers. Good luck with run 3!

Thanks! It's definitely the bumpiness that bothers me. I suffered from a ruptured plantar fascia a few years ago so I'm a bit wary. Can't wait to complete week 1 πŸ˜†
