Just do it, take it really easy and feel really proud when you've finished!
Welcome to the forum and well done on
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
Hi Famalan. Welcome to the forum. One of the C25k administrators will be along soon to post the link to the guide to C25k - it has everything you need to know in there, so read it first and refer to it as you progress through the program. Follow the program and you can't go wrong.
In a nutshell - stick to the plan, run really slowly, keep well hydrated (2-3 litres/day), stretch after every run. It is okay to take extra rest days if you need them - listen to your body.
C25k was one of the best things I have done for me, so well done on your choice, you won't regret it.
Good luck
Hi Famalan and well done on your first steps to becoming a runner. My message is short and sweet and exactly the same as Delly-dot. Do it in your own time. It took me longer, repeated some runs and took more rest days at times. Use the forum it will see you through. Good luck and happy running, you'll surprise yourself 👏👏
Welcome to the forum.
All the advice given in other replies is so true. I would emphasise that coming onto the forum is so uplifting and supportive, even if you don't always post. Good luck!
My advice is also to stay connected with this forum ... there is always plenty of help, encouragement and support 👍
