Like a lot of people had already said on the forums, this isn't a step down from W5R3, and it certainly didn't feel like it last night. Probably the first run I have done now that made me wonder why I was doing it...

I was so annoyed that I didn't enjoy a run (how dare I!) that I didn't even feel like posting about it until this morning. Pizza with the kids last night (my reward for losing my latest half stone) made up for it a bit though. Just have to get on with R2 tomorrow to burn off the extra calories though :)

One thing I have noticed is as I get tired, my left leg is crossing over and scuffing my left shoe against my right shoe - my guess is that I might need to do some strength work on left leg to help. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Well done........W6R1 is your longest workout to date.

The knee strengthening exercises linked to in the guide will work on all your leg muscles.

Your observation is a good one, as form often degenerates as we tire.

Yes, I had a feeling strength was the issue, the difference is obvious when getting up off my knees, the right leg is much easier. Cheers.

As you keep running and observing your non-run days you’ll get stronger

We just build up our health and fitness over time. Eating and drinking healthily helps too if course, as does sleep

Lots of cross training possibilities. Do something you enjoy 🤷‍♀️😃. We can all walk more. Cycle, strength workouts free on YouTube via smart telly. Strength and Flex group on here 💪

Have fun 😃👍
