So after knackering my calf on week 1 run 2 I followed advice, rested up for 10 days and did some knee strengthening exercises. Dynamic stretching before and static stretching post run, slowing right down and making a concerted effort to shorten my stride has definitely helped tons.

I still hate running but am actually looking forward to week 2 now.
