Week 4 Run 1 - Going backwards

Felt like week 1 all over again. Managed first and second run in this Run but faltered at the last two. Hoping run 2 goes better. Some serious stretching exercises required to loosen up the legs. Noticing my breathing more and trying to get it right. Onwards and upwards.

I found it harder too towards the end. Stretching on rest days seems to help.

Every day... stretching and stamina and strength exercise, on rest days and stretches after every run. If you are struggling a tad.. just pull back and slow right down :)

I'm struggling with week 4 too I'm ok at the 5 min runs but the shorter ones hurt let's keep going x

The first 5 minutes was a bit of a struggle and the break between did not seem long enough. Was determined on the 2nd 3 minutes but the mind could not will the legs on any more when the last 5 minutes kicked in I had pretty much given up!! I am encouraged though because that is what happened to me week 1. If I can nail the 2nd 3 minutes on Wednesday then I have a chance on Friday :) - asthma review next week it's either going to be really positive or.....!

Do keep going, but slower than an old snail on a go slow :)

a) stretching after every run is essential, and b) just breathe... don't try, don't overthink..just do what you do every day :)

Just go really gently.. relax and move forward confidently! You can do this:) We are right there with you:)

Thanks I suspect the new running shoes encouraged me into a faster than normal jalk (my name for a cross between a jog and a walk)!!

I know.. I love it... I have added some great words to my repertoire after being on the forum.. :)

New shoes... always wonderful!

I had a bad experience though once.... bouncing running shoes..they caused me to over run or rather over bounce....
