I was relatively fit in 2018. I had a brain hemorrhage in March 2018. Had to take a year out of everything. On lots of different meds that have increased my appetite. So a year later I'm alive but 2 stone heavier and for some reason seem to have lost my fitness.

Just finished WK1 and not enjoying it at all. X

Firstly, well done on taking some control and deciding to work on your fitness. The first step is always the most daunting.

It is really tough if you have not exercised for a while, and it sounds like you have been through a lot, health wise. So, go easy on yourself. Make sure you take the run sections really slowly and take nice deep breaths during your walk sections. There is absolutely no need for speed on this programme - just a nice steady build up, that’s what is required.

Have you read the guide to running C25K yet?

You don’t have to necessarily enjoy it now, just make a commitment to yourself to complete it (and trust me, it is very satisfying), and then decide if running is for you. 👍

Welcome. 🎉 And well done on getting started. No run is harder than getting out the door that first time. No rushing, just jog gently and focus on building stamina gradually. You could have a google of Japanese Slow Running technique. There’s a good YouTube video.... Enjoy learning a new skill. 👍
