Was lucky enough to do some trekking on the Great Wall back in November which was a big challenge. Running for 30 mins is something else and just rewarding , yesterday week 9 run 3 completed ✅ Been in a bit of a dark place since losing my beautiful wife to cancer last year , so as a total non runner at the end of February started running & iam sure It is one of the things keeping us sane at present .i have enjoyed every minute of the last 2 months even reaching 5k . So grateful for all the tips and advice on this forum and touchwood kept injury free . Happy days ahead to everyone 👍😄

Hi China- trekker.🙂I cannot imagine how hard the last year must have been for you since losing your wife - so sorry for your loss. I think it is great that you have found running and that it helps in some small way to fight off some of those dark feelings. Stay strong and keep using it to guide you though.

Congratulations on completing the program and also reaching that very special first 5k! Did you know you can request a 'graduate' badge next to your name now if you request one here...?

You can also check in with our Consolidation post which may give you ideas on where to take your running next...

Thank you so much for those kind words , we were together for 30 years so many happy memories. Almost 12 months has passed now but the injustice of cancer will never pass . I will indeed keep running and check in with consolidation posts . Many thanks and happy running 😀
