W1R1 only just begun

Hi,

I only started c25k yesterday and today although I’m a bit stiff ( which I expected) what I didn’t expect today was the top of my left thigh at the front feels a bit like it’s bruised! Is this his normal? I normally walk anywhere 3-10 miles a day with my dogs so I didn’t think that a few mins running would have such an impact!!

Have I done something wrong?

I followed the advice given and started with a 5 min brisk walk and then 8 cycles of 1m slow run, 1 1/2m brisk walk and finished with a 5 m slow down walk followed by the NHS websites recommended stretches.

I don’t think I’ll be able to go again tomorrow but really want to keep going.

Try putting an ice pack or something on your thigh. Does it hurt when you walk? Hopefully it doesn’t put you off. I think we all pick up a niggle at some point. Good luck. 😁
