Consolidation run 5/just had a week off

Hi everyone πŸ‘‹πŸ»

I’m still enjoying my consolidation runs πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ˜ƒ

Did a nice hilly (ok they were slopes!) one today.

First time I’ve run in a week and I had to slow right down to a brisk walk 3 times. I’m not beating myself up about it-but I am surprised what no exercise has done to my body!

I usually exercise 4/5 days a week so doing none has hit me!

My week off did include a two hour hike-with a lot of sitting and eating the wrong things πŸ™ƒ

We’ve been to Wales 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 (from Kent) and whilst my daughter exercised well on climbing walls and orienteering, I didn’t πŸ™ˆ

They really are πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜Š I chose the wrong kind of podcast today! It was all morning talk and I wasn’t motivated by it at all!

Sounds like you had a great time in Wales. The first run back can feel a bit tough after a week off the next one will be fine. 😊😊

Hahaha, I call them hills but they aren’t 🀣

Its actually good to take a week off every so often, it lets your body completely repair so dont be worrying about it.

You will be back on track no bother at all.

Sometimes we need a break... and a two hour hike is no picnic, even if it was 🀣

I find that after a little time off it’s the pacing that goes, so I also take little walk breaks on my comeback run... it clicks again real soon, and the fitness is still there.
