Had a much more positive run today! Weather was perfect, nice and cool which helped a lot and I felt like I was able to pick up the pace ever so slightly without any breathing issues which was good. The only issue I’m finding is that the inside and outside steps of both my feet were hurting towards the end, and I’m not sure if it’s my foot positioning or the fact I’m running on loose patchy stones. Any ideas on what I could do?

Sounds like shoe issue. See the faq pinned post on the right side of page and read down to shoe link.
Hi Ginjaninja. The pain in your feet could be a shoe issue. At this early stage it could be as simple as lacing your trainers too tight - it was for me and it made a huge difference when I slackened my laces.
For me, I swapped shoes and it made a world of difference. I had rubbing issues because the shoe I was wearing was too wide and my feet were sliding around in the shoe. You’ve got this! Happy running!
Thank you all! I do tend to do laces up tightly so I’ll try and adjust this and if that doesn’t work I have a second pair of trainers I could also try ☺️
Your feet are likely to swell as you run, so you need to loosen your laces. Also there are all sorts of different ways of lacing; have a look on YouTube
