I had an extra day off yesterday, didn’t fancy jogging in the weather we had, think it’s done me some good as I feel raring to go this morning, so in saying this, I think I will now have weekends off and go Monday Wednesday & Friday from next week fingers crossed it has the same effect about to jog week 6 run 3 🤞

Extra rest days here and there can work wonders. Just allowing the muscles a little extra downtime to recover is great for adding strength. When I was doing the plan last year, I always took the full weekend off before transitioning to the next week (and also had some extra days off when work commitments meant my schedule got disrupted).

Since graduating, I try to take a full week break every couple of months, and it works wonders as I always seem to set my new PBs in my first few runs after the rest up.

Good luck with the rest of the plan and beyond.
