Thought I’d get the longer one out the way with first.
Starting the feel like my breathing is getting better during my runs now - which is great. Seems to leave me feeling much more positive about this running lark again. It’s also making the runs seem more enjoyable and achievable too.
Had some issues during my run today though. Had really bad shin pain about 10 mins in, which stayed from there on in. I didn’t want to stop and wanted to complete my run. So it was a real battle with the burning pain on outsides of my shin. Started in both shins but soon disappeared on the right and only stayed on the left.
I warmed up with my 5 min walk as usual. Wore the same trainers I usually do. Ran the same route 🤷🏻♀️ mystery.
Either way, cooled down with some extra stretches for shin splints thinking it may help.
Hopefully won’t continue to be a problem!
Either way. Really chuffed I completed 50mins running, covered 5 miles so know i won’t be making the 10km when I reach the hour mark. But all progress & steps in the right direction!
Fingers crossed this glorious weather is here to stay ☀️
