So I completed W4R1 yesterday, and it means I need to do my next 2 runs on Wednesday and Friday. Due to other commitments I’m not going to be able to do either of those this week!
So my options are to have 2 rest days in a row (which I don’t really want to do as I don’t want to lose momentum.) Or run today as well, so two consecutive days, and then go back to every other day.
I won’t be making a habit of this, as a one off is it ok to skip a rest day?
Thanks!

Two rest days in a row is far more beneficial than no rest days. You don’t want to risk injury.
It’s hard to resist running back to back days, I know, but don’t be tempted to. The programme banks on you taking rest days so your new running legs can repair and ready themselves for their next challenge!
Thank you for your comment! I’m just worried that 2 days rest will make my return to run 2 of this week difficult?! Or do you think I should be ok? Thank you!
You’ll be absolutely fine!! I’ve had 3 consecutive rest days, sometimes even 4!! Work, life etc gets in the way! I read somewhere that you need to do at least 2 runs a week if you want to build/improve stamina, fitness etc. and 1 run a week to maintain xx
