Just posted this on bridge to 10k, but I want everyone to see it, I found it so moving. Saw this message on the hill when I went for my run today (which was a week 3 run smushed into a w4!)

Wonderful. What Iโ€™m finding even more amazing than the job the NHS are doing on the frontline is the fact that so many recently retired (or departed from the) NHS staff are coming back to work, putting themselves at greater risk to keep the service, and the country going... it just goes to show the strength of the calling of doctors, nurses and others in the service.

Without going into how much these people should be paid, Iโ€™d say itโ€™s impossible to pay them even a fraction of what theyโ€™re really worth.

Iโ€™m a glass half full kind of person and I genuinely think that a lot of good will come of this. I think people are taking stock of what is REALLY important in their lives and a real sense of Family/community spirit and appreciation of others is really coming to the forefront. The good people still greatly outweigh the idiots in this world and, once this passes, I hope the sense of community and caring for others is something we can all continue with going forward ๐Ÿ‘Œ

I really hope so, whitto. It's a shame it took something so awful to remind us of what is important, but it is wonderful to see that community spirit re-emerge after so long.

Isn't it great! The farmers are out there doing their stuff, but still got time to thank the NHS. It really made my day ๐Ÿ˜Š

Love the photo. I was so worried about the NHS before this outbreak. It seemed it was being left to go to pot. It wonโ€™t be now though ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜€ It will be looked after and cherished.

Yes I think so finally. Our local hospital was downgraded to a walk in centre in the teeth of fierce local opposition. No wonder there are so few beds. I'm praying this will lead to some major rethinking.
