For some reason today I just couldn’t make myself complete Week 8 Run 3. Obviously I’ve already done this run twice, but this morning felt like I’d forgotten how to run. I managed to run on and off for about 20 minutes but that was it, before shuffling off home. That finishing line isn’t getting any closer today.

I’m going on holiday on Thursday and can’t decide whether to have a week off or not. I’ll take my running gear with me but wondering if perhaps I need a little break to get my enthusiasm back up?

A change can be as good as a rest... and sometimes we do need to ease back....maybe a little jogette before you leave on Thursday... (which may turn into your run) ... and then, either way, enjoy your holiday and come back refreshed and ready to move on?

Oh, I like the sound of a jogette! I think I’ll try that and then play it by ear on holiday. Thank you!

Take your gear but don’t make it a source of guilt ! You don’t have to run on holiday, but after a day or two off, you may find you want to, if only to get a little time to yourself ! Have a great time x

Thanks, that sounds like a good plan. I’ll definitely take the running gear and then see how I feel. Not entirely sure what running options there will be, but definitely not going to make it a source of guilt and plan to thoroughly enjoy my holiday!

😂 Certainly doesn’t feel that way, but I’m going to take that thought with me. 👍

For some reason my 3rd run on week 8 which I done on Friday was a killer to NR4,So I gave myself the weekend off and I feel so much better for it today . Think we just have bad runs/days sometimes so put it behind you and look forward to the next run !! P.s. enjoy your holiday 😁👌✌

Yeah, I’d kind of assumed these runs would get easier, especially after considering how much I’ve improved since the start. I’ll play it by ear and see how I feel later in the week.

Hope you nail week 9!

I think in time it will become easier ,and like you say we have improved so so much and that is what keeps me going . Week 9 is just as hard and 2 extra mins is a lot when your legs are saying stop lol. 👌✌
